Dodge is expanding its line up “Blacktop” packages to include the Dart and plans to debut the car in Detroit next week.
The package adds gloss black wheels, a handful of paint colors, a gloss black grille, new headlight bezels and tweaks to the interior. Dodge already offers “Blacktop” versions of the Charger, Challenger, Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.
Cabin changes include black and red cloth upholstery with red stitching on the center console, seat bolsters and instrument panel. Those seats also get two red accent stripes as do the door panels.
The Blacktop package is offered starting with the SXT model ,which is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine making 184 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. Dodge didn’t announce complete pricing today but certain portions of the Blacktop package carry over from the “Rallye appearance group,” and customers interested in upgrading a car at that trim level will only pay an extra $295.
