The Fisker Karma-based VL Destino convertible will make its debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
The Bob Lutz-backed automaker is moving ahead with building its V8-powered Destino, which are essentially using Fisker Karma vehicles but ditching the electrified powertrain. Instead, the Destino will be powered by either a 6.2-liter V8 from the Corvette Stingray or a 6.2-liter V8 from the Camaro ZL1.

VL reportedly has several Karmas ready to be converted in production and wants to offer the same option for current Karma owners to convert their vehicles to gasoline powered. A brand new Destino is expected to be priced around $200,000 while VL will do conversions for current Karma owners for around $100,000.
